STUDIOTRADE

DanceDigital is a founding member of the European Network, STUDIOTRADE.

studiotrade is a European network of choreographers, producers and dance organisations who enable an international exchange of studio facilities for research, creation and introduction to new markets and contexts for dance artists.

Within studiotrade, one- to two-week residences are regularly allocated to an international group with its own production spaces.

On the one hand, this is how an intensive exchange in terms of content is created between the production spaces and performance spaces and, on the other hand, between the uk and abroad. As the key aspect of this exchange is clearly an the development of the artistic work, the exchange will be locally accompanied by a respective artistic mentor.

After each residence, there is the possibility to give a “work in progress” showing. The showing would be organised by invited partners. The artistic can alternatively present the result of their work in workshops, in public discussion or in exchange with local artists.
