Congratulations FOCUS Youth Dance Company Graduates

It has been a very busy year for FOCUS, the Essex Youth Dance Company, directed by dance development artist Robert Gentle. The company performed in Springblast, the Torch Relay, the Essex Schools’ Jam and in numerous BIG Dance events. Well done to all company members on your hard work and fantastic performances.

Congratulations to FOCUS members who are moving on after four years of committed work with the company. Jordan Outhwaite  has received a full scholarship to Stella Mann College. Jordan McClaren has been offered a place on the Dance East CAT scheme and Ellie Noi has secured a place on the Laban Centre CAT Scheme. Felicity Latham is moving on to study music at Leeds.  Well done to everyone and we wish you well in the future.

SWIFT, the junior youth dance company in South Woodham and Ferrers, has also had a busy time with performances in the Essex Schools’ Jam and the Torch Relay. We are delighted that Sonny Chatters has been offered a place at the Sylvia Young Theatre School. Sonny is trying to raise enough money to be able to undertake this prestigious opportunity.
