Thought Dance is one of DanceDigital’s recent commissions under the Digital Environments programme. Created by choreographer Matthias Sperling, with support from Nottingham Trent University, the work is an interactive installation piece using EEG brain-scanning technology. By taking part, you are the dancer and the movement of thought in your brain is the dance.
Matthias is currently putting the finishing touches to the installation, which we will be exhibited in The Apex at Trestle Arts Base as part of DanceDigital’s Emerge Artist Platform 2011. The platform showcases our work from our Digital Environments programme, presenting 2 specially commissioned works and performances from 7 of our current Associate and Bursary Artists.
