DanceDigital has opened a new dance studio in Chelmsford town centre.  Create Dance Studio opened on the  1st June 2009 and is based at 8 Eckersley Road Ind. Est., Chelmsford.  It's been an ambition of DanceDigital's to have its own dance studio once again since the closure of Chancellor Hall back  in October 2005. The new studio has a 10m x 8m wooden sprung floor with black studio flooring laid on top;  portable mirrors and portable ballet barres also available for use during the classes.   (more...)

In September 2009 DanceDigital was delighted to welcome Erato Tzavara in to the new role of Web and Communications Co-ordinator.  Since joining the organisation Erato has travelled all over Essex and Hertfordshire filming  dance classes as well as our Associate Artists, Commissions and much more.  The content will be added to our all new website once it has been edited, approved and then published.  Check back for more updates.

DanceDigital has appointed a new Chair of the Board of Trustees at its last meeting on 19.11.09. Anne Gallacher has been a member of DanceDigital's board since December 2007 and agreed to become Chair after Fiona Ross annouced that she will be stepping down due to a new commitment of being a first time mum to twins!  We are all very pleased for Fiona. Heather Stradling also stepped down from the board after a long standing commitment to the organisation. We will miss you Heather but I'm sure we will work together again. Two new board members were elected to join the board, they are Fiona Mason former Genereal Manager for DanceEast; now a Freelance Arts Consultant and Nadja Dias, Head of Touring and Marketing for CandoCo Dance Company.

We are still tweaking the website and hope you like it.  We now have a selection of feature videos on the player on the right including an insight into Associate Artist Lost Dog's new piece, an interview with IP Tanz on the recent premiere of I See U at the Hat Factory, Luton and an intro to Focus Youth Dance Company from our very own Rob Gentle. You will also find a trailer video for the upcoming Forward Motion dance on film season in Thurrock curated by DanceDigital.
