SpringBlast
DanceDigital Community Dance Platform
16 March 2010DanceDigital presents SpringBlast – an energetic evening filled with a variety of dance showcasing the best independent dance groups from Chelmsford and Essex. The show presents work from groups of all ages and abilities across a range of different dance styles, from Contemporary Dance to Egyptian Belly Dance.
Most of the groups taking part have either worked with DanceDigital in the past or are associated with DanceDigital in some form. The evening includes work from independent dance groups running their own classes in the Chelmsford area to a selection of Essex schools that have worked with DanceDigital over the past year.
SpringBlast also includes special performances from DanceDigital’s two senior youth dance companies, Focus and InPulse who will be performing their most recent works, both selected for the regional finals of Youth Dance England’s U.Dance project, Radiate, which will be held in Cambridge in March 2010.

Wow what a night! Well done everyone for an electric and entertaining night. Here’s to next year.
What a fantastic show, displaying such an array of talent and professionalism.
All acts worked fantastically well together and created a buzz.

Came to Spring Blast. Amazing acts, really high quality. Great to see so many young lads performing to such a high standard. A greater variety of styles would be good.

I performed as part of FOCUS at SpringBlast, it was great to see what other young people in the county have created, and i was surprised and encouraged by the diversity. I think there should be more opportunities for dancers in Essex to interact creatively like this.
