Jonah Bokaer

This month’s featured artist is award winning choreographer and media artist Jonah Bokaer. Jonah’s work expands possibilities for live performance through choreography, digital media, cross-disciplinary collaborations, and social enterprise, in the United States and internationally.

In November last year Jonah was artist in residence at DanceDigital’s Create Dance Studio in Chelmsford, UK where he worked as mentor to DanceDigital’s Associate Artists to explore a variety of conceptual skills related to dance and technology, through 3D animation. The residency also saw Jonah lead a 2-day master class for professional choreographers who are interested in creating dance and technology work.

On 25 February Jonah will again be visiting the UK to perform at DanceDigital’s artistic showcase, Emerge on 25 February at Trestle Arts Base in St. Albans.
