Lvone attended a specialist secondary school for the enhanced arts; it is here her passion for dance began to develop. Her formal dance training began at Westminster Kingsway College in the heart of London, studying a BTEC in Dance with Performing Arts. From 2004, Lvone began teaching as a freelance dance teacher for essexdance, the dance development agency for Essex. Work included; youth projects, community dance classes, work with integrated support centres and work in schools.
Lvone is currently a dancer in Uchenna Dance Company, a performance based company that fuses Contemporary, African and House Dance with Waacking and Vogueing to create new work. Lvone also assists teaching for the company’s educational projects within schools.
Lvone’s work as an Independent Dance Artist consists of educational work, performances, and choreography, collaborating with musicians, producers, other artists and photographers. Lvone was awarded The DanceDigital Artist Bursary 2009 to use toward developing herself as a dance artist. Lvone plans to create choreographic work, whilst training in new areas of dance, developing technique and performance and exploring identity, self and individuality within dance.
